ActBlue, the nation’s largest source of funds for Democrats, is seeking a kick-ass student intern for the Spring semester.

Since 2004, ActBlue has sent more than $111 million to Democratic campaigns and committees across the country. We have been working with thousands of campaigns, donors, and fundraisers to ensure that Democrats have the money they need to win on Election Day 2010 and sustain Democratic majorities around the country. We need help to make it happen.

Major responsibilities will include:

  • Customer service for contributors, fundraisers, and political committees
  • Clerical tasks
  • Researching and tracking candidates
  • Long term research projects
  • Other tasks as assigned

Key qualities we’re looking for:

  • Oral communication and creative problem solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Organizational prowess
  • A proactive personality and willingness to do whatever needs to be done
  • Strong familiarity with electoral politics and commitment to Democratic victory
  • Qualitative research experience preferred, but not required

We are looking for a student in the Boston area who is dedicated to Democratic victory and interested in being part of our team. We are an open and freewheeling office, so a sense of humor is necessary! You must be able to commit to a minimum 10 hours per week at our office in Harvard Square, including Mondays from 2-5 PM. The position is paid, and ActBlue is willing to work with your university for credit, where applicable.

If you would like to help secure Democratic victory, please send a cover letter and resume to internships@actblue.com. Applications will be processed on a rolling basis, but must be submitted by Sunday, November 22. Candidates will be contacted if selected for an interview, and all applicants will be notified when the position is filled. We look forward to hearing from you!
