📚📓:The Case Study above, combined with the foundation- New Community Fund- that hired me as a consultant for the linked plan to build a diverse bench of political leadership in Boston and diversify the City Council and Congressional leadership **def worked**- the current Mayor, Mayor Michelle Wu from Harvard Law, i read about in the Boston Globe in 2005’s write up of that year’s City Council race and the city’s political future. If I still lived in my last Boston apt right now, my congresswoman would be my friend Alethea’s friend, Rep. Ayanna Pressley.

New Community, is funded by my friend and United Leaders’ board member, Charles Rodgers and his wife who disseminated the plan to all of Boston’s leadership.

and, my good friend Malia Lazu, an MIT professor who founded BostonVote - now MassVote- registered all of Boston’s people of color and working class people to vote, which by the time Mayor Wu ran for City Council in 2005- the city was designated as a **Minority Majority City** for the first time.

and, the City Council became the most diverse Boston City Council ever in 2005 as well!!😃

via United Leaders, plus Charles Rodgers from New Community and Malia Lazu from BostonVote, combined with the work we did as Real Talk via Mass Inc. and the City of Boston (Isabel Kriegel of Mayor Menino’s office), addressing Quality of Life issues there to fight the Under 30 Brain Drain of college grads and young families that leave for New York City,

etc.

the first RealTalk about quality of life was in the Boston regional Federal Reserve building’s event hall and had 500+ attendees and Live Polled the audience about the issues that could and did help re-build Boston and retain its talented young people:
