Democrats in the Senate – like Chuck Schumer and Elizabeth Warren – are urging President Biden to free student loan borrowers from overwhelming debt. The staggering cost of tuition and predatory loan practices, coupled with years of economic uncertainty, have saddled millions of Americans with debts they won’t be able to pay off for most of their lifetime.
This isn’t equitable or fair. We need our Democratic leaders in Congress to advocate for student loan forgiveness, so all Americans have a chance to invest in their long-term goals like putting a down payment on a house, buying a car, or opening up a business.
We need to maintain and expand our Democratic Senate Majority this fall, so we can continue pushing for the progressive reforms we need. Donate to strengthen our fight.
