What does it take to win Montana?
Jon Tester knows. On June 6th, he surged to an incredible victory in the Democratic Primary—a victory powered by grassroots and netroots support.
And for the past eight years, he’s represented a rural district in Eastern Montana, the sort of place where Democrats don’t usually win.
But Jon Tester isn’t your usual Democrat.
As President of the Montana State Senate, Jon Tester led Montana Democrats through one of the most successful state legislative sessions in recent history. Jon led the fight for:
- One of the most comprehensive prescription drug programs in the
country, helping seniors and disabled and uninsured Montanans.
- An historic increase in funding to public schools, including the
first time in history that Indian Education for all Montana will be
funded.
- A real agenda for rural Montana, helping secure passage for a
country of origin labeling (COOL) requirement and fighting for fair rail
rates for Montana’s agriculture community.
Jon Tester’s legislative record reflects the values of working Montanans—because Jon is a working Montanan. He’s a farmer, a small business owner, and a former teacher. And Jon will fight for these values in Washington just like he fights for them in Helena.
“If I were Conrad Burns, I’d be shakin’ in my custom-made cowboy boots…. [Tester is] a farmer, he’s got a flat-top, he’s plain-spoken but he’s got claws and he’s funny.” – Courtney Lowery of the New West Network
Conrad Burns and the D.C. Republicans are pouring tons of special interest money into Montana—because they can’t afford to lose this seat if they want to maintain Republican control of the Senate.
But together, we can turn Montana Blue—and send a loud message for change to the D.C. insiders.
Help election Jon Tester to the U.S. Senate this November by making a contribution through Act Blue. Or start by
joining the campaign email list.
Because it’s time to make the U.S. Senate look a bit more like Montana.
“This dumb wheat farmer thinks Tester is the real deal!” – Mike of The Last Best Place
