Dr. Selden Spencer has the courage to commit to the hard work and personal and financial indignities required to run against an entrenched incumbent. He has the life experience of a husband, father, physician, deacon and active community volunteer to pull from to effectively represent the US 4th District of Iowa. His background and determination will also be invaluable as he grinds through the months of a challenging campaign in a culturally and geographically demanding district. Not only is he our inspiring hope to replace a one-note Newt Ginrich devotee from 1994, who “advanced” to a lock-step adherent of W and Delay, he is a breath of fresh air in a sea of politicians. He gets my vote, as well as contributions of my time and best efforts to do all it takes to re-claim the district.
