Androscoggin County is in a unique position in the State of Maine. The cities of Lewiston/Auburn and the surrounding towns are working to solidify their identity in the State. While holding on to its heritage of a hard working, blue collar industrial hub, the area is also transitioning to a center of higher education (with Central Maine Community College, USM L/A, Andover and Bates College) and also working towards sustaining a creative economy. The Lewiston/Auburn area also is proud to be home to two of Maine's most respected medical facilities (St. Mary's Regional Medical Center and Central Maine Medical Center).

The Democratic Party in Androscoggin County is working toward bettering our communities by giving everyone the opportunity to prosper, grow and contribute to the well being of the area.

Long range plans for the County Committee include a fully equipped office space and a full time staff person. Immediate goals include helping to elect Democratic Candidates to local offices, the State House and of course the White House.
