There are even fewer who take the time to know these issues backwards and forwards and to take the lead on them. One of the few is <b>Lon Burnam</b>, about whom I have some good news and some bad news.</p><p><b>Good news:</b> After months of taking potshots at Lon, Ft. Worth City Councilman Sal Espino announced that he will not run against Lon in the Democratic Primary.</p><p><b>Bad news:</b> He is trying to recruit someone who will.</p><p>Therefore, I am enlisting friends as sponsors of a fund-raiser for Lon to be held in Austin on <b>Wednesday, November 4th</b> from 5 to 7 PM at Aquarelle Retaurant, 606 Rio Grande.
