Many of you know that I am focusing my birthday celebration this year on raising funds to fight Prop 8, the CA ballot initiative that would eliminate the right of same sex couples to marry.

The ballot description for Proposition 8 makes it perfectly clear. Prop 8 "eliminates the right of same sex couples to marry."
