These are the candidates I believe are most deserving, candidates with strong, sound stances, running in races where your dollars matter most. Please make a contribution to this critical cause.

Image of Patty Murray

Patty Murray

WA-Sen (Map)

Sen. Patty Murray (D) will most likely defend her seat from a challenge by George Nethercutt®.
I happen to think Murray could really lose this because she’s not that great of a campaigner and Nethercutt has a history of being an upsetter (he beat Tip O’Neill). Murray’s a good, if undistinguished, senator.

Image of Tony Knowles

Tony Knowles

AK-Sen (Map)

Former Gov. Tony Knowles (D) is running against incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski®.
So in 2002, Frank Murkowski ran for Alaska Governor and won. In Alaska the governor appoints a senator to serve out the next 2 years and in a stroke of genius, Mr Murkowski appointed his DAUGHTER to serve out the rest of his term. Nepotism? Of course not…. Lisa Murkowski is vulnerable in a heavily Republican state and this could be the pickup of the year!

Image of Ken Salazar

Ken Salazar

CO-Sen (Map)

Attorney General Ken Salazar (D) will face Pete Coors® for the seat of retiring Sen. Benjamin Nighthorse Campbell®.
Do you like Coors Beer? Me neither because Pete Coors is running as a Republican in Colorado. Salazar is a strong candidate and this is another great pickup opportunity

Image of Erskine Bowles

Erskine Bowles

NC-Sen (Map)

Clinton White House Chief of Staff Erskine Bowles (D) is facing Rep. Richard Burr® for the seat of vice-presidential nominee Sen. John Edwards (D).
When Vice President John Edwards is in office, we need a new Democratic senator (Edwards is retiring win or lose). Bowles is a good guy and he almost beat Elizabeth Dole for NC Senate in 2002. Burr is more vulnerable this time.

This election has ended.

Image of Brad Carson

Brad Carson

OK-Sen (Map)

Rep. Brad Carson (D) will face Tom Coburn® for the seat of retiring Sen. Don. Nickles®.
Carson’s a good guy but I picked this race because of his opponent. Coburn might be the closest thing to the Devil on Earth and he might be the most conservative Senator if elected. Carson’s got good looks and a good chance in this Republican state

This election has ended.

Image of Inez Tenenbaum

Inez Tenenbaum

SC-Sen (Map)

State Superintendent Inez Tenenbaum (D) is facing Rep. Jim DeMint® for the seat of retiring Sen. Fritz Hollings (D).
Tough seat to defend but a good candidate

This election has ended.

Image of Tom Daschle

Tom Daschle

SD-Sen (Map)

Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle (D) is defending his seat against former Rep. John Thune®.
Tom Daschle stood up for his values when they wouldn’t always resonate with SD’s more conservative voters. Republicans have gone crazy to win this race and they have even sent the Senate Majority Leader to sway voters (a political no-no; out of courtesy, leaders of the Senate almost never campaign against each other in each other’s district). And last time Republicans were this ravenous to win a seat, they barely won because of the tragic death of Paul Wellstone. Let’s hold the Senate with Tom!

This election has ended.

Image of Stephanie Herseth

Stephanie Herseth

SD-01 (Map)

After a 51-49 victory in the June 1 special election, Rep. Stephanie Herseth (D) will again face State Sen. Larry Diedrich® in November.
On the path to Senator, Governor, and/or President. Pro-choice, pro-women, and progressive, she’s great and can win in South Dakota!

This election has ended.

Image of Tim Bishop

Tim Bishop

NY-01 (Map)

Incumbent Rep. Tim Bishop (D) will defend his seat from challenger Bill Manger®.
He’s a local and needs to keep his seat. Let’s show the country we can elect Democrats on Long Island
