Like a lot of lefty academics, I like to gripe about the state of the world. Daniel has moved beyond griping: he’s running for office, and better still, he’s running for local office, where his talents are desperately needed. And to think he used to be one of us. . . I hope he wins, and I also hope that this example of someone who comes from a nontraditional political background will inspire others (hell, maybe I should run. Then again, I’m less photogenic).
Anyway, this is incredibly fantastic. Give early and often.
