Diane Benson is running against Alaska Rep. Don Young, who is ALSO implicated in the VECO scandal and under FBI investigation. Don Young’s corruption goes beyond even VECO, with ties to Tom DeLay (indicted), Bob Ney (guilty) and Jack Abramoff (guilty). It is time to send Young packing before he is carted off to jail. But Diane Benson is also a kick ass candidate in her own right. A former truck driver and commercial fisherman, she comes from a real working class background. Her family has served in every war America has fought since WW I and her son was wounded while serving in Iraq. She is firmly against the Iraq war. She would be an ideal Rep for Alaska. And she is outraising Don Young in fundraising and outpolling him in recent polls. She can win this one!
