John Edwards shares my vision … and Bobby Kennedy’s vision … of America. John calls it “One America”. I call it “Responsibility and Respect – for each other and from each other”.
John’s policy proposals meet this vision. When it comes from the heart, it’s easy to do. Think about it. When you make decisions from your gut, they come easy. Because it just seems to be common sense.
I agree with John’s policy proposals: Universal private healthcare, lifelong learning, rule of law, sustainable energy, international cooperation, and all the other policies that history has proven are as practical as they are righteous. Again, they’re just common sense. Every “golden age” has emerged from a tolerant, compassionate society investing in “grass roots” education, healthcare, community, and the arts. Every empire fell when the middle class fell.
John Edwards is not perfect, but he admits mistakes. How refreshing.
John seems to have learned from life’s experiences – childhood poverty, his own child dying, his wife’s cancer, his wife’s cancer re-appearing, losing elections, and, perhaps, the tragedies of his law clients’ injuries – and grown stronger.
He seems decent to the core, caring of others, capable of change, willing to listen, positioned to win and determined to do the right thing when he does win.
John Edwards in 2008 reminds me a lot of Robert Kennedy in 1968 and Bill Clinton in 1992. The right man at the right time in a critical election.
If you agree with me, then take responsibility for getting him elected.
Check out his website for policy and position details. Listen to him speak. Then … Commit. Campaign. Contribute.
If you’re ready now, then contribute now. If not, then let’s talk.
Steve
