Baron Hill lost by a narrow margin to Sodrel. In fact, in 2004 the margin was so thin that the recount went on even when Congress was seated. Since being elected, Sodrel has been in lock step with Bush.
Sodrel has the combination of extreme right â running the country into the ground while parading as if abuse of power were the moral hgih ground. He voted for the Federal intrusion into the final moments of the life of Ms. Schiavo. He voted for the punitive Bankruptcy Act.
Indiana contributes many people to the Armed Forces. Baron Hill values those lives. He doesn’t want to see this criminal waste of human life go on forever. The Iraqis have a government. The Iraqi government cannot establish order until American forces are gone. Elected Iraqi democratic leaders have asked that American forces return home.
Indiana could be the Saudi Arabia of ethanol. Ethanol is a path to energy independence. With ethanol, it is cheap to build a refinery. This means the barrier to entry is low, so the price will not go high. Sodrel stands with the oil companies. Baron stands with Indiana consumers and farmers.
Rational foreign policy.
A energy policy our grandchildren could live with.
Pro-child and pro-choice.
Baron Hill.
