Larry Kissel is running a completely grassroots, shoestring campaign against an incumbent, Robin Hayes, who has failed to represent the interests of the district. Despite his campaign's financial disadvantages, Kissel is running dead even with Hayes in the polls as of 10/8/06.
But, as of the same date, he had under ninety bucks in cash on hand. Since Kissel has demonstrated his ability to do a lot with just a little, and can definitely win this race, it seems to me that his campaign is one of the best progressive political investments one can make in 2006.
