<blurb>Please Support California High Speed Trains in November! Vote yes on Proposition 1A !!!!!
California needs a real solution for energy and transportation. High speed trains can be a critical part of the solution to both of those problems.
Califonia's population is expected to grow by over 10 million people by 2030, and we have an important choice to make.
We can stay dependent on foreign oil, spend hours a week sitting in traffic, and spend billions every year on pollution-creating highway expansion.
Or, we can put California on the right track for the future with High Speed Trains. The trains will:

Take travelers from San Francisco to L.A. in 2 and a half hours, with stops in every major city in between

Take 92 million car trips off of the road every year

Reduce our dependence on foreign oil

Make getting around the state faster and cheaper

Reduce air pollution and reduce our greenhouse gas emissions by 12 billion pounds.

High Speed Trains are more efficient than either air travel or car travel, and it'll cost us less to build High Speed Trains than the highway and airport expansion we'll need without them.

High Speed Trains will:

Create 160,000 construction jobs

Create 450,000 permanent new jobs once completed

Create a new economic engine, diving commerce and tourism all over the state

Opponents of High Speed Trains claim we can't afford the $9 billion bond to build the train, but they want taxpayers to spend as much as $25 billion on new highways.
They kept Californians from voting on High Speed Trains in 2004 and 2006, but this year, with gas prices at record levels, we can't afford to wait any longer.
Your contribution of $10, $25, or even $100 will help us get the word out and guarantee win in November. Please contribute today!
