NM-Sen
(Map)
For the past ten years, New Mexico's Tom Udall has championed the cause of global cooperation in the U.S. House of Representatives. With Sen. Pete Domenici retiring, Udall is looking to take that next step to Senator. In his career, he's consistently scored A or above on our Congressional Report Card. On our 2008 candidate questionnaire, he said "I believe that our nation continues to have an important role to play as a global leader on a variety of issues. However, our actions must involve other international leaders. The U.S. no longer can afford to act unilaterally without any regard for other nations." Backing these words up with action, he's voted to address climate change, against legislation that sought to ban U.S. cooperation with the ICC and against new nuclear weapons development. Let's send him to the Senate next month!
