Dear Friends . . .
Over the last 10 years that I have lived in San Francisco, I have seen so much positive change in this wonderful city! True change began when Gavin Newsom was overwhelming elected as Mayor. He has tackled so many of the City's lingering problems head-on and with vigor. He was the catalyst for why California made a positive stance on same-sex marriage. Even though the fight for equality is not over, Gavin Newsom (a heterosexual) stood up for what was right and just and declared that discrimination against same-sex couples was wrong. That took "real" courage and that is why we need him as Governor of the Great State of California! After the last eight years, we need real change in Sacramento, and I absolutely believe that Gavin Newsom is the right person to bring us that change.
Now is where we need your help! I know that during these difficult and financially turbulent times it is difficult to be asking everyone for a contribution to ensure change does come to California, but I hope that you can find a way . . . even if it's $10 dollars. YES, I said just $10 dollars! Of course, if you have the ability to donate more, I would be thrilled!
I hope that you will join me and so many others by supporting Gavin Newsom for California Governor. The light at the end of the tunnel is near. Change is at our doorsteps. Please do not let this great opportunity slip us by.
