We have many, many great Democrats running for the Idaho Legislature this year. With just 26 Democrats out of 105 legislators, Idaho badly needs better two-party representation from Democrats who will stand up for economic opportunity for all, quality education, and a safe, clean environment.

Here are ten active, non-incumbent candidates who - because of their professional backgrounds and/or geographical locations - could bring a lasting change to our state's government. Please consider giving your support to as many of them as you can. Even $5 or $10 makes a difference to these local candidates!

In addition to this list, the following people are running in key districts but cannot take contributions through ActBlue. Please consider donating to them through the addresses below or the ways recommended on their websites):

Steve Elgar (District 1)

Ken Howard (District 4)

Richard Mabbutt (District 12)

Greg Funk (District 15)

Sharon Fisher (District 21; send donations to SLFisher for Idaho, 450 E. Deer Flat Road, Kuna ID 83634)

Scott McClure (District 26)

In truth, all our Idaho Democratic candidates, incumbents and challengers, could use your support as they work to return true two-party representation back to Idaho. For a full list of candidates, click here. Or simply donate to the Idaho Democratic Party via this page to help our candidates win statewide.

Idaho State Democratic Committee - Federal Account

The Idaho Democratic Party is working hard to elect more Democrats statewide. Democrats have steadily added seats in the legislature in recent years, and we aim to continue those gains in 2008. Invest in real change ... give to your state Democratic Party.

Michelle Waddell

ID-HD-14A

House, District 14 - Twenty years ago, Jim Hansen won an upset victory over the sitting House Majority Leader. Let's make history repeat itself and help Michelle defeat Mike Moyle, who has singlehandedly prevented Idahoans from deciding for ourselves whether or not to invest in safer roads and cleaner air through better public transit. Moyle is wrong on countless other issues, too. It's time for him to go. Michelle's website
