However, we still have a challenge in front of us in rebuilding the "Solid South," but I believe that it can be done. I picked the candidates for this page very simply. There is (or will be) a candidate representing every Southern state. Everyone on here is challenging a Republican incumbent. Some of them are given good odds on getting the seat, some not. Some are well funded, some or not. However, I feel, from a cursory glance at their websites, comfortable putting them on here. This normally means a union endorsement, positions on various issues like Healthcare, the War in Iraq, etc. They are not chosen by chance to win, but merely by having the courage to run.
