I want my US Senator to stand for core Democratic Party principles and not be beholden to corporate special interests – things like a progressive tax structure where those with the greatest ability to pay have the highest tax rates, fiscally responsible budgeting that doesn’t leave future generations with debt, regulation that protects the environment and consumers from profit-driven business decisions, civil rights, and open government.
