Dear friends,
My name is Karin Steinbrueck and my husband Daniel Biss is running for State Representative in Illinois’s 17th District. This has changed our family’s life in significant ways.
People lament that our “private” life has become public, but they don’t discuss how fortunate we are to be engaged with what’s happening in our community. They’re sorry my husband will soon be working far away in Springfield, but don’t talk about how great it is to have a partner working for change.
In the spirit of embracing the public side of our private life, I want to share something with you. Today, at 3:13 a.m., Daniel turned 30. Those of us who have passed this milestone remember how we celebrated (following Moldovan tradition, I threw myself a party). I’m asking you to help Daniel celebrate his.
