Democrats Abroad is the official Democratic Party organization for the millions of Americans who live outside the United States. We work to support the aims and principles of the Democratic Party. Recognized as a state committee by the Democratic National Committee, we are represented in the DNC by eight members.
With groups in over seventy countries around the world-in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Pacific-we keep Americans abroad informed of their rights and involved in the U.S. political process. That includes sending a voting delegation to the Democratic Convention and creating an on-line voter registration engine. At www.VoteFromAbroad.org, you can register to vote, request an absentee ballot, and obtain a write-in ballot. Most recently, we worked with our DNC colleagues on resolutions concerning the overseas voting process and restoring the writ of habeas corpus.
