YES WE CAN!!

The 2008 election is fast upon us and it is critical to stay engaged – to restore respect for our country, to help solve the climate crisis, to save the lives of our soldiers, to ensure that our government expresses our values. We are proud to support Barack Obama, an historic presidential candidate who offers hope, progress and the possibility of meaningful change as never before. The battle for Obama continues as he seeks vital victories in tight races in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida. And, as imperative as the presidential race is, there are many Congressional races across the country where candidates need immediate support. Each election is an opportunity to win a seat currently held by a Republican – in North Carolina, Florida, Arizona and Illinois among others.

Your commitment to MoveOn is more important now than ever! The movement towards economic and environmental prosperity needs a national organization that motivates and engages millions of people around the country to put candidates in office who support liberal values. Obama and Clinton inspired millions of people throughout the country to get out of their armchairs and take part in these elections. We need to be more proactive than ever to ensure that the Democrats capture The White House and increase their numbers in Congress.

JOIN US!

Let’s raise the roof and $50,000 for MoveOn! Come and ‘Pig out the Vote’ with us September 10th at the Terra Gallery in San Francisco to support Democratic Presidential nominee, Senator Barack Obama and other progressive Congressional candidates – most importantly your own voice in national government through MoveOn.org Political Action Committee (PAC)! MoveOn is a non-profit liberal public policy advocacy group and political action committee (PAC) that has raised millions of dollars for candidates of the Democratic Party in the United States. MoveOn is working to bring ordinary people back into politics. With a system that today revolves around big money and big media, most citizens are left out. MoveOn is a catalyst for a new kind of grassroots involvement, supporting busy but concerned citizens in finding their political voice. A nationwide network of more than 3,000,000 online activists, MoveOn is one of the most effective and responsive outlets for democratic participation available today.
