He was president of the Democratic Club, so we did a lot of organizing together. He is the one who convinced me to go down to Texas after graduation (you can thank him for cowboy boot obsession I have); he was the assistant field manager on the campaign down there. Anyway, he went to law school, clerked and now is running for Congress. ................................................... He has a shot in the general! The district was drawn to be competitive, there is 33% African-Americans (who, as you know, tend to vote Democratic). He lost in 2008 by 46-54 after starting the race mid-year, so this is doable with a little help. Even $5-10 will make a difference! ...................................................
