Matt Erickson merickson@robinson2008.com Donate a Dollar for David!<p> A lot of people are understandably disheartened by politics. Congress has an unbelievably low approval rating of 9%. This is the field I&#39;m in, though, and I have every intention of making the kind of impact that could, some day, get that approval rating to 10, maybe 11 percent.<p> In all sincerity, I wish everyone could meet David. He is one of the few people I&#39;ve met that diminishes the concept of partisan politics. Yes, he&#39;s a Democratic candidate, but that doesn&#39;t reduce him to a specific set of issues or ideology. Rather, I think that he represents a return to the original concept that the Founding Fathers had of our legislators as citizen-statesmen. He is a private citizen, a small businessman who feels that he and his neighbors are unfairly and inadequately represented in Congress, and he believes that he will provide stronger leadership for the district and the country.<p> I&#39;m asking you to show your support of David and our campaign by participating in &quot;Dollars for David.&quot; Our opponent is going to raise more money than us, but most of it will come from wealthy special interests and corporations. It is a reflection of both his ideology and his voting record.<p> I am asking you to symbolically support David with a contribution of $1. The size of the contribution is not so important as the number of supporters we have. We want to show that we have the support of hundreds of people locally, nationally, and globally. We want the support of people who are looking for a different kind of politics in Washington.
