Being abroad, there is no doubt that you have experienced the consequences of the deplorable image of America the Bush administration has created over the past eight years. Being brilliant, you know the ONLY CANDIDATE who can re-brand America so that you can once again be proud of your country is Barack Obama. There are myriad reasons why America should elect Obama, but let’s focus on just one of them for a moment. The following is an excerpt from Andrew Sullivan’s insightful and persuasive article about Obama in a November 2007 issue of The Atlantic Magazine:

Consider this hypothetical. It’s November 2008. A young Pakistani
Muslim is watching television and sees that this man—Barack Hussein Obama—is the new face of America. In one simple image, America’s soft power has been ratcheted up not a notch, but a logarithm. A brown-skinned man whose father was an African, who grew up in Indonesia and Hawaii, who attended a majority-Muslim school as a boy, is now the alleged enemy. If you wanted the crudest but most effective weapon against the demonization of America that fuels Islamist ideology, Obama’s face gets close. It proves them wrong about what America is in ways no words can.

The value of the dollar is plummeting, which is terrible news for everyone back in the States, but fabulous news for Americans abroad earning the euro, yen, bhat, peso, kwacha, lira, etc. Throw a few hundred bhat to Obama so he can buy a road sign, billboard, Hillary voodoo doll, or anything else he needs to take the remaining primaries and then the White House!
