Our country is about hope, opportunity, and security. When we remember these ideas, all citizens benefit. Today these ideas are under attack and I will continue to defend them.
The attack is led by people that have decided that it is their way or the highway. In Colorado, it would appear that Focus on the Family has hijacked the Republican Party and created single issue platforms for candidates to promote. These extremists tell you they want less government interference as long as the government supports their views.
Help us wage the kind of campaign to ensure our freedoms, our security and our victory over the global war on terrorism. The Constitution must never be exploited or taken for granted.
Ben Franklin advised us that anyone who sacrifices a little liberty for a little security will have neither. I think Ben was a pretty smart fellow. By the way, he was denounced on more than one occasion as a Godless heathen, as was Thomas Jefferson. They were labeled “Godless” because they refused to bow to one system of belief and established protections from the tyranny of the few as well as the tyranny of the many.
