Florida has been the supposed “must win” state for Democrats since 2000. I am not sure I buy that, but I do think it is well worth trying. And I think we could win it. If we do, then we almost certainly will win the Presidency. So it is well worth focusing on Florida.
But there is another reason to focus on Florida. We probably had another stolen election in 2006, this time the FL-13 race where 18,000 votes for Congress were missing. And by all calculations most of those votes were Democratic, so Christine Jennings probably won. So we really need to focus on this race early and often to make sure the Republicans don’t keep that seat in 2008.

Jennings is running to replace Katherine “Stolen Election” Harris who prevented the 2000 recount in Florida and was rewarded by the Republican Party with this House seat. Harris tried moving on to the Senate, but failed. Jennings is locked in a neck and neck race to replace Harris. But Harris’ legacy of election fraud continues as electronic voting machines in this district gave strange results, leading to an unusually large undercount. This suspicious behavior on the voting machines’ part could cost Jennings the election.
This may be a defining moment in the fight against electronic voting machines and election fraud. Jennings is challenging the cout as recorded by the machines and the challenge is to the machines themselves. But this will be a costly battle. Anyone who is concerned about the integrity of our elections should be on board with this one. Please give to help Jennings fight for fair elections, starting with FL-13. This could be precedent setting and we don’t want to lose due to lack of money.

This seat is currently held by Tom Feeney® who was one of Abramoff’s best buddies. There is evidence that there was Republican fraud in this district as well in 2006, which would have made this a close race. Clint Curtis, the man who went up against Freeny in 2006, is likely to run again. He was endorsed by Democracy for America, Florida and has been a crusader for real election reform. Given that Florida is likely to be one of our biggest battlegrounds in 2008, this district looks to be a good place to fight…and fight hard.

Clint Curtis is our likely candidate to take down corrupt and immoral Tom Feeney. Curtis was recruited by Feeney to help steal elections. Curtis refused and instead is now running against Feeney.
