Ari Fleischer and a gaggle of Bush Regime operatives and billionaire right-wingers, like Mel Sembler, who financed the GOP efforts during the Florida “recount,” gamblers Sheldon Adelson and William Weidner, Wall Street financier and Neocon extremist John Templeton, Howard Leach, Anthony Gioia, and Gary Erlbaum, have been slandering Democrats with misleading advertising campaigns and annoying robocalls. Blue America has decided to turn the tables on them with a more lighthearted automated call to the same people they called. Our call was recorded by actor and activist Mike Farrell and emphasizes, among other things, that Bush policies—like bombing oil fields—have a great deal to do with the price of gasoline.
Blue America looked at the long list of Democrats that Freedom’s Watch has been maligning and we decided to get the backs of the progressives on the list—Tom Allen (ME), Linda Stender (NJ), John Adler (NJ), Steve Kagen (WI), Chris Murphy (CT). Democrats like Don Cazayoux (LA) and Travis Childers (MS), who have been voting with Bush to continue the occupation of Iraq and to grant retroactive immunity to corporations wiretapping Americans without legal authorization, are on their own.
