Working for Free

<p>I say all the time that I'd do my job for free, and that I'm amazed even that people pay me to do what I do. I love my job. But right now, that's especially true because I'm working for Darcy Burner, who is running for Congress in Washington's 8th District.</p>
<p>Darcy's great. We need people like her in Congress. She's intelligent, thoughtful, and is legitimately invested in the welfare of the people in her district. But more importantly, she's a great fit for me. She's funny and nerdy and calls me out when I'm wrong and defends me when I'm right. She takes care of her people, and that's a rare thing in a candidate. I feel like I'm lucky to be a part of this campaign. Like I've got a job I'd do for free.</p>
<p>Money is always the biggest demand for a campaign. You always need more than you have. And we're in the most competitive and expensive Congressional race in the country. I want to help with that. So I'm asking you, my family and friends, to help me do what we all want to do- work for free. I want to raise enough money to pay for my salary for one month. It's four thousand dollars. I'm starting with a pretty small list, but I'd like to ask you all to give, and then pass this on to other people.</p>
<p>This will have a big impact on our campaign and on our ability to win in November. Please give, and please pass this along to your friends.</p>
