I don't believe I have ever met a more decent public servant who has the integrity and character that Bob Casey has. That is why I plan on working night and day to see that he gets elected, and we can rid ourselves of Rick Santorum. He truly is every that is wrong in Washington. Bob is going to win this November and I know he will be a great U.S. Senator. That said, if I do have an hour of personal time, I am dedicating it to see that I can do my part to get my very good friend Tessa Hafen elected to Congress in Nevada's 3rd Congressional district, a seat currently held by republican congressman and close friend of Tom DeLay, John Porter. I have been involved in political fundraising for almost seven years now. I have had the opportunity to work for two of the best Senators currently serving, Senator Harry Reid of Nevada and Senator Byron Dorgan of North Dakota. But, I don't think I have ever been so excited about a Congressional race than this one. This isn't business for me, this is personal. I've already put my money where my mouth is by contributing $250. This is my hometown district in Las Vegas, and Tessa has been one of my very best friends for the last seven years. She is a smart, dynamic woman with unquestionable moral values who will be a breath of fresh air in that district. Over the past eight years, she worked her way up to becoming Senator Reid's Nevada Press Secretary. The Congressional seat is currently held by Jon Porter. Porter has been tied to Delay and the Republican corruption scandal. This district leans Republican according to the Cook Political Report, but it's not a safe seat by any means. The district splits about evenly in voter registration. Tessa is a Mormon, and her father, Andy Hafen, has been elected and served on the Henderson City Council for the past 20 years.
