Recently State Senator Nancy Turbak was told she could not speak at a South Dakota College due to her views on Reproductive rights. Here is excerpts from an AP Article published on Sunday.

ABERDEEN – State Sen. Nancy Turbak Berry, who was scheduled to deliver the Presentation College commencement address Saturday, says she was told earlier in the week that she could not speak there because of her views on abortion.
“I was told I was not welcome to speak because I do not share the Catholic Church’s position on the proper role of government in decisions about reproduction,” Turbak Berry said. “While not an especially defining issue for me, I have always been candid about my view that government should have a limited role in what I consider to be very personal decisions.”

I wanted to support Sen. Turbak and let her know that not all South Dakotans chose to bury their heads in the sand when they disagree. I think what the college did and how they handled the situation was rude and more than improper.
Now just so we are clear, I setup this page on my own to show my support for Senator Turbak with more than just an email and to let her know that close-minded thinking should not be tolerated especially at our Universities and colleges.
