Protect Our Marriage and Say No on 8

<blurb>On June 17th of this year it became legal for ALL couples, including same-sex couples, to marry legally here in California. Terra and I legalized our marriage that same day at the San Diego courthouse. I'll never forget how it felt to finally be able to include the words "my lawfully wedded spouse" in my vows to her.
This Tuesday Californians will vote for or against Proposition 8, an amendment that would eliminate the right for same-sex couples to legally marry, and get the 1,049 federal and more state rights that depend on marital status.
Please help us and support No on 8 Equality for All, a group campaigning against Prop 8, to defeat this and protect our marriage.
If you don't live in California, remember that CA is so often a trendsetter for the rest of the country. Even if Prop 8 doesn't directly affect you in your home state this year, the outcome of this election will reverberate across the country in the years to come.
Please donate what you can-even if it's just $10, even if it's only in support of Terra's and my legal marriage.
We're not asking that you change your mind about what marriage is, or that you allow for same-sex marriage in your church. This is an issue of CIVIL marriage, and civil rights, not religion. If Terra's injured, I should be able to visit her in the hospital. If one of us goes to court, our communications should be protected by spousal privilege, and we shouldn't have to testify against one another. If we wind up in a nursing home, we should have the right to stay together. If one of us dies, the other should have inheritance rights. Don't ask how much I paid out-of-pocket for health insurance when I was freelancing because her employer at the time only offered coverage to married couples. If you agree that we should have the same rights as any heterosexual married couple, now's the time to make a difference.

Thank you for your support and your donations. </blurb>
