Though the California legislature is majority Democrat, the bill last year to make marriage equality for gays and lesbians a reality barely passed. Of course it was then vetoed by our Republican Governor. To make marriage equality a reality in this state... and to DIRECTLY affect my family for the better, we need to make the California Senate and Assembly more Democratic and supportive. There is one Senate seat and 2-3 Assembly seats that could be switched from Republican (an anti-gay vote) to Democrat . Enough of a margin to make a vote next year a comfortable reality. And the Governor&#39;s race: Angelides. He is supportive of marriage equality, and a win for him will be a win for my family. The bill will pass and the governor will sign and marriage equality will be a reality, the first time it is VOTED into reality in this country. So donate, even 5 dollars. Anything.
