Jon Powers went to Iraq when our country asked him to do so. While deployed, he started working to empower Iraqi youth and understood the importance of building friendships rather than creating more terrorists. He came home, kept that program going while also trying to help other returning veterans. He has decided to take his experiences and his love for this country back home – to upstate New York – and make a difference. He knows what is needed for New York and for all of us, and he knows how to win in 2008. There is no doubt in my mind that he deserves our money, time, support, and most of all, our trust.
