mario mpiscatella@gmail.com Over the last several decades, the quality of our US Senators has declined as the barriers to run have gotten more intimidating to good men and women. Today there are maybe ten Senators, regardless of party, who can do the job at the level needed by the people of this country. Ten men and women who speak on all of the significant subjects without an aide prompting them, without a special cram session briefing, ten men and women who can understand and adjust questions on the fly during testimony before their committee. It is sad and disheartening to know that over the past few years we have watched this decline and are likely to see it fade further in the coming years, the loses of Senator Edward M Kennedy and Robert Byrd will be devastating to say the least. We cannot afford to lose one through the electoral process, that is on us, we have to stand up and support the man who has lead the fight against written every good piece of education legislation over the last 3 decades, delivered FMLA, got our first responders the resources they need (Firer/Safer), and just in the past few months took on Big Tobacco, Credit Cards and <b>right now is leading the way on Health Care reform with a strong Public Option.</b> Dodd is one of a very small group, a true elite, a national treasure. Not perfect, not infallible, but a giant, a great. A leader we need to keep in the US Senate. Will you do your part and give $10, $50, or $250 today?
