I am running for the US Senate because we deserve a Senator who will stand up for Connecticut and stand up for our progressive democratic values. Rather than spending hundreds of millions of dollars a day in Iraq, it is time for America to refocus on issues back home: fixing our healthcare system, upgrading our schools, and rebuilding our aging infrastructure. We will start winning in Iraq as the Iraqis take control of their own destiny, just as America has to start investing again in our own future.

There is a clear choice between the honesty and progressive values of Francine Busby and the special interests and ethics problems of our current congress. We are ready to run a strong campaign that celebrates what we are capable of when we are united. We need your help now to show Republicans and Democrats across our district and across the nation that people are tired of the Washington status quo.

Representing the hard working men and women of western New York in Congress has been and continues to be an honor. Be sure to visit our district pages at our website where you can learn more about the wonderful communities that make up New York’s 28th Congressional District. If you happen to live in or near my district I hope you will sign up to volunteer on my upcoming campaign for reelection. If you don’t live in the district you can still sign up to help our campaign – there is plenty of work to be done.

TX-22 (Map)

It’s time for a change. I am Nick Lampson, and I am running for Congress in the 22nd District against House Majority Leader Tom DeLay.
I am running because folks are tired of controversy and investigations. We must move away from the power plays and bitter partisanship that now grip Washington, and get back to doing the people’s business.
I am not a Washington “player” and I am not a bitter partisan. I am a public servant who has worked for over 30 years for the people of southeast Texas. Send me to Congress, and I will go to work every day for the people of District 22, and no one else.
We will win this race, but it won’t be easy. I need your help to get there.

PA-Sen (Map)

At a time of great unease both in Pennsylvania and across our country, Bob Casey is running for the U.S. Senate because he wants to help bring much-needed change to Washington.
Bob Casey believes Pennsylvania deserves a senator in step with the values and concerns of its citizens. And he believes this country deserves a government committed to changing the direction of the United States.
As a U.S. Senator, Bob Casey will focus on creating jobs, restoring fiscal responsibility, lowering the cost of health care, improving education, safeguarding Social Security, protecting our environment, and strengthening homeland security.
The current leadership in Washington believes in the politics of divide and conquer. Bob Casey believes we should unite and prosper. We simply don’t have time to waste on partisan political battles while young men and women are dying halfway around the world, in real battles that matter.

We must elect representatives of the people who are ready to lead with a vision, and will stop mortgaging our children’s future for short-sighted, self-interests. We must elect representatives that will pursue policies that will revitalize our economy, protect healthcare, promote public education and provide for a sensible defense security in order to ensure our children’s future safety and prosperity. I intend to be one of those new Representatives of the people to provide that safety and prosperity to our children.

Our country is moving in the wrong direction, and the current leadership lacks purpose. This week congress passed $56 Billion in tax cuts after cutting $50 Billion, two weeks ago, from programs designed to help middle class students pay for college, seniors to pay for healthcare, and low income families put food on the table.
In Iraq, our President’s plan is to stay the failed course. Our troops have done their job. They toppled Saddam’s regime and ensured that there were no weapons of mass destruction more than two years ago. Now is the time to start bringing them home.
At home, we should be looking out for working families and the middle class, we should be putting our nation’s fiscal house in order, and we should exemplify the American ideal—that with a little hard work, anyone can build a better life for themselves and their families.
That is the direction and purpose we need in our country.

I believe our federal government should serve the hardworking people of America — people who struggle to pay their bills, to get the healthcare they need, and to send their children to good schools and on to college. Our government should fight for our brave soldiers overseas who have put themselves on the line to serve our country.
The trouble is the Republicans in Washington, D.C. have frustrated this mission through poor choices and bad management. And they are unable and unwilling to change their failed course.
My opponent is one of them. He said recently that we should just “trust the President,” and has voted 93% of the time with the right-wing Republican leadership in Congress.
We can take this country in a new direction!

Thank you very much for allowing me to represent the people of Vermont in the U.S. House of Representatives. As Vermont’s Congressman since 1991, and the longest serving Independent in American history, I am proud of the record that, together, we’ve helped establish. Now, I am asking for your support in my bid to succeed my retiring colleague Senator Jim Jeffords as Vermont’s U.S. Senator.

I will provide leadership!
* Redirect our efforts from Iraq to end the threat from Al Qaeda * Restore fiscal discipline * Make America energy independent
We face serious challenges; it’s time for a change
* An ill-advised war costing us more than 2,400 lives and $1.5 billion a week with no end in sight * A budget deficit completely out of control * Oil companies defining our energy policy—such as it is * Families one major illness away from financial ruin
I’m guided by core values:
* Personal independence: Everyone should have access to the resources to pursue the American dream * Service: Helping those who cannot help themselves will allow more people to become productive tax payers and thereby make it easier for the rest of us to succeed * Leadership that goes the distance: Maintain a moral clarity that defines the difference between right and wrong and have the will to always act on that belief.
