John Barrow

John Barrow is running in the most Democratic district currently held by a Republican Congressman and has the strength behind his campaign to win in November. While political analysts in Georgia were predicting a run-off, Barrow won his Primary with 52% of the vote. That strong showing, along with his fundraising strength of having already raised $1.2M, makes winning this seat a top priority for Democrats in their quest to retake the House.

Brian Higgins

NY-27 (Map)

Democratic State Assemblyman Brian Higgins is extremely popular in this district (in a recent poll 74% said they have a favorable sentiment toward him, only 8% negative!). He has represented roughly 1/3 of this Congressional district as the State Assemblyman and has received the endorsement of the good folks at the state AFL-CIO.

This was formerly one of the most Democratic seats in the country held by a Republican. We really should get this one back.

Ginny Schrader

PA-08 (Map)

The unexpected retirement of a moderate Republican made this seat a real horserace. Attorney Ginny Schrader (D) is facing Mike Fitzpatrick (R). The district has been good to Democratic Presidential candidates and now there is a chance to elect a candidate with TrueMajorityACTION's values stressing education, healthcare and peace. Your donation can take this seat from red to blue.

Jim Sullivan

CT-02 (Map)

Jim Sullivan's campaign in Eastern Connecticut's 2nd district provides an excellent opportunity for Democrats to knock off one of President Bush's rubber stamp Congressmen. Popular Democrats such as Senator Chris Dodd and the Kerry-Edwards ticket will bringout many Democrats. After winning the Democratic Primary with over 60% of the vote, Jim Sullivan is in a statistical dead heat with Republican Rob Simmons.

Tom Gallagher

NV-03 (Map)

In what is likely to be one of the most closely watched races in the country, Tom Gallagher has shown that the more the voters of the 3rd District get to know him — the more likely they are to vote for him. His stands on health care, education and the concerns of seniors and veterans make him a good match for his district. This is a very swing district in a state where the Presidential race will be hotly contested. Two years ago, Gore barely won this district and a continuing influx of new residents makes this a race that is going down to the wire.
