NEVER SHALL ONE GENERATION OF VETERANS ABANDON ANOTHER! The Iowa Veteran’s Victory Fund is a State PAC organized by the Veterans’ Caucus of the Iowa Democratic Party. Contributions to the Iowa Veteran’s Victory Fund will be used for voter identification, recruitment and get out the vote efforts. In addition, contributions will be used for voter education and support of Democratic candidates for state and federal office who support the mission, values and policies of the Iowa Democratic Veterans’ Caucus. About the Iowa Democratic Veterans’ CaucusOrganized in March of 2007, the goal of this group is to elevate veterans issues within all levels of the Democratic Party in Iowa and nationwide. We will use contributions to the Iowa Veteran’s Victory Fund to establish a model for party building through Democratic Veterans’ groups in Iowa. Then, we will use our successful template to establish Democratic Veterans groups in every state – focusing first on the “battleground” districts and states. IDVC will be hosting a Democratic Veterans Summit in Des Moines, Iowa August 1-2, 2008. During the Summit we will used the national stage to elevate issues affecting veterans and their families throughout the Presidential campaign. Through these and many other efforts we will ensure that veterans as a key voting constituency are central to a Democratic victory in 2008. What you do in support of the Iowa Democratic Veterans’ Caucus will set the stage for Democratic veteran’s organizations in every state of the country. Please consider this a second call to duty and contribute generously. IDVC Vision Statement: By the Year 2010, the Iowa Democratic Veterans’ Caucus will be the recognized voice for veterans and their families within the Iowa Democratic Party and IDVC will act as the voice of Democrats in the Veterans’ community by setting the IDP legislative and policy agenda for issues affecting Veterans, their families and their communities. www.idvc.org
