Donna is from the Democratic wing of the Democratic Party. She’s refusing all contributions from corporate PACs and as a member of Congress she’ll never accept a lobbyist-funded junket, no matter what the pretenses. She won’t vote to raise her pay until the minimum wage keeps pace with the cost of living, because if cost of living adjustments are good enough for federal employees and members of Congress, they’re good enough for the hardest working, worst-rewarded Americans.
This is how we change the game. In 2006 we succeeded in electing more Democrats. In 2008 let’s elect better Democrats who are tied to their values and their communities, not their donors.
