Like many of you, I&#39;ve grown up seeing very few positive political role models who shared a background or heritage similar to my own. This is part of why I became so interested in politics in the first place; I felt my own community was under represented.<br /> I would like to see Indians take on a more active role in our country&#39;s politics. We have such a strong, intelligent, vibrant community; I believe it&#39;s important for us to become more active and involved.<br /> I&#39;ve discussed this issue with many friends and family and they often feel the same way, but &ndash;just as often- they don&#39;t know how they could get involved, even if they want to...
