Breakfast with Senator Bob Kerrey to benefit Phyllis Busansky. Thursday, Sept. 7th – 8:00am. 11 Madison Park Restaurant (11 Madison at 24th St). Minimum required contribution of $1,000.
The opportunity to change the calamitous actions of this Congress is within our grasp. A key component to ensure this change is the election of a true champion of our values, Phyllis Busansky.
The Busansky Campaign in Florida ’s open Ninth Congressional District continues to gain incredible momentum. The race has been targeted as one of only 16 challenge races in the country by Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) that can win back the US House in November! Her early fundraising success has made this race a nationally targeted competitive seat!
But, she still needs your help! Please join us at breakfast and support one of the few candidates who truly has the potential to turn a “red” district “blue.”
We are asking attendees to make a $1,000 or $2,100 contribution to Phyllis’ campaign so she will have the resources she will need to go forward and WIN in November.
Phyllis is running in the seat being vacated by Mike Bilirakis in Florida ’s 9th district ( Tampa Bay area).
She served as a Hillsborough County Commissioner from 1988-1996. While on the commission
she led the fight to establish an award-winning health care program focused on
preventative care, which improves the health of citizen’s, keeps people out of the
emergency room and saves taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars. Phyllis has been
recognized by the Ford Foundation/Kennedy School of Government with their
prestigious “Innovations in American Government award, and was named as the
“Public Official of the Year” in 1995 by Governing magazine.
