Randy is a Progressive Democrat working hard to take the seat long held by Republicans for over 40 years. In 2006, he came within 1800 votes of doing just that! He has lived his entire life in this region and knows the issues held dear by the people. During the 2006 campaign, he was endorsed by AFSCME People, WI SEIU, WEAC, the Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters, the Wisconsin Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers and Blue America.


For the past fifteen years, he has been a teacher and coach in the Marinette and Peshtigo schools. He knows first-hand the issues facing schools, teachers, and communities brought about of the fiscal mismanagement of Madison.


His wife, Kris, is a disabled USAF veteran with two relatives who have already served tours in Iraq. Together, Kris and Randy have worked to help veterans in the community gain a voice in politics, and have seen the fiasco of underfunded mental and physical care of our veterans.


Randy has been promoting sweeping health care reform, a livable wage for workers, and the HOPE tax plan to shift the tax burden off the average citizen while closing the loopholes allowing corporations to avoid paying state taxes. He has always been deeply concerned about the impact people have upon the environment here in Northeastern Wisconsin, and will promote smart growth for the area to maintain the way of life we all enjoy.


Randy is a grassroots candidate, who has traveled to every corner of the district meeting and listening to people, not the special interests holding sway now. While the other party has spent obscene amounts of money to hold this seat in the past, we focus on small donors making donations they can afford.


What Wisconsin needs isn’t bigger government or smaller government. What we need is better, smarter, government.
