Kentucky is the ultimate border state. In 2006, John Yarmuth unexpectedly won a House seat from an incumbent Republican, showing that Kentucky is ripe for really putting the blue into bluegrass. Yarmouth showed that a progressive really can do well in the South if he is also a populist who can connect with the people. This page is aiming at the 2007 Governor’s race and the 2008 Senate and House races in Kentucky as well as giving the Democrats a shot at turning Kentucky blue in the presidential election.
