The time for change is now. In recent years the General Assembly has embraced the wrong priorities, the wrong principles and the wrong ideas. As a result, we have missed opportunities to build a stronger Missouri. It doesn’t have to be this way. House Democrats are committed to changing the priorities of state government to improve the lives of all Missourians.

We are ready to return our state to the Truman tradition that responds to the people, not the special interests. That starts by electing new leaders for our state like Jay Nixon to be our next Governor and a new Democratic majority in the House of Representatives. We Democrats have an enormous opportunity to win the majority in 2008.
