Combining a well-established but rarely-used contribution technique with cutting-edge political research and the power and efficiency of the internet, ActBlue’s Late Primaries Project puts your money where it matters most - into the hands of Democratic nominees:

  • Who will have faced a competitive primary election likely to deplete their bank accounts;
  • Who will then face a hand-picked Republican candidate who has been husbanding resources for an immediate media blitz as soon as the Democratic nominee is selected;
  • Who will receive the nomination in August or September, 2006, giving them scant weeks to fund and run a general election campaign.

This strategic program makes it possible for us to stockpile essential support now, and provide it exactly when these candidates will need it - upon their nomination—even though the nominee has yet to be selected.

Currently the LPP is targeting three races: Arizona’s 8th and Colorado’s 7th Congressional Districts, and the Senate race in Maryland. We may add others as the electoral landscape shifts.
