Well the same cast of villains (with the Catholic Church leading the way) is at it again. Organizers of Proposition 1, an effort to overturn a new law legalizing same-sex marriage in Maine, have hired the California public relations firm that ran the successful Proposition 8 campaign to overturn same-sex marriage here in California. The hiring of the California firm shows that the national organizations opposed to marriage equality see Maine as an important place to take a stand. It's also an important place for the SUPPORTERS of marriage equality to take a stand. We have to stop the cycle of popular votes being used to eliminate equal rights. Please consider making a donation to the No on 1 campaign in Maine -- even $10 or $25 would be very welcome.
