Vanessa Brown is a proven community leader and social activist. She’s been living in her West Philadelphia district for many years and is recognized as an innovative community problem solver. As an organizer with the People’s Emergency Center Vanessa has used her creative energy to bring about positive change in her neighborhood. As a single mom, she understands the daily struggle facing residents in her district and she’s proved she prepared to work hard for change. I had the opportunity to attend her kick off event and produced this short film to help introduce her to a wider audience. (click the play button to start the video)
