Help Me Elect Jeff Merkley!

Here in Oregon, we have a huge race on our hands. Republican Gordon Smith needs to go, and I want to replace him with House Speaker Jeff Merkley. Jeff Merkley is committed to providing Universal Health Care for all Americans. Jeff has been opposed to the Iraq War from the start and has continually called for an end to the war. Merkley also has gone a step further and has called for the withdrawal of all American contractors in Iraq. In regards to energy and global warming, Merkley will fight to reverse our current energy policy. Merkley has proven to be an effective leader as Speaker of the House. He helped reverse the Republican majority in the House, and has helped pass domestic partnerships legislation and countless environmental legislation. There is no doubt in my mind that he would be the type of Senator that gets things done, and would be also be the type of Senator who will never abandon his progressive principals.
