As Progressives we believe in the value and dignity of all men and women. All parts of society need to represented by our elected representatives, not just those with deep pockets.
We believe that a strong society requires a strong foundation. It is the duty of the government to maintain that foundation by investing in the infrastructure of American, not only the roads and rails, but also our most valuable resource – the American people.
We believe in a balanced budget, affordable health care for everyone and the solid education for all. We believe that the government should work for us, not against us. The role of the government should be to maintain an environment where anyone who wishes to work hard can get ahead.
If you share those values, then you’re a Progressive.
Know that you’re not alone. Extremists may make more noise. We say, “Let them bluster.” There’s important work to be done. Someone needs lay the foundation for a solid future. That’s our job.
